Sony HDC-P31 compact POV system camera for remote production workflows.

The Sony HDC-P31 is a compact 1080p/60 HDR, global shutter 3CMOS ⅔” POV system camera for remote production workflows.

This compact and lightweight system camera delivers an HD image with high sensitivity and low noise. It ensures an image quality consistent with Sony’s HDC series of system cameras by applying the same CMOS sensor technologies. The HDC-P31 is ideal for studio, events, and any locations that are hard to access, such as on crane, track, or dolly.

Remote Control Features

What makes the HDC-P31 so useful in remote or hard to access locations is the enhanced remote features accessible via web. The WEB UI enables menu setting, status monitoring, log files and updating camera firmware. Even the lens back focus can be adjusted remotely from the Sony master setup unit (MSU) or remote control panel (RCP).

HDC-P31 supports HDR in the form of S-Log3 / HLG and Sony’s SR Live workflow for simultaneous production of HDR and SDR.

Global Shutter

The HDC-P31 has a 3x ⅔” CMOS sensor block with a global shutter that eliminates any “jello effect”. The latest imager technology and image processing enables a low noise of 62db and sensitivity of F12 at 1080p/59.94, and F13 at 1080p/50, 720p/50.
