The Tiffen 4 x 5.65" T1 IR Filter is a professional infrared control filter designed for digital cinematography cameras that are sensitive to infrared contamination. Many modern CMOS and CCD sensors can inadvertently record infrared light alongside visible light, which may result in unwanted color shifts, particularly in darker tones such as blacks and deep shadows. This filter helps eliminate those issues by blocking near-infrared wavelengths and preserving accurate color reproduction.

Engineered using Tiffen’s Water White optical glass and ColorCore technology, the T1 IR Filter delivers high clarity and precise infrared attenuation while maintaining image sharpness and neutrality. It is designed for use in 4 x 5.65" matte box systems and is commonly used in high-end film and broadcast production where color accuracy and clean shadow rendering are critical.
