The Sony RM-DP7 Cinema Line Monitor Controller combines professional camera control and high-quality image monitoring in a rugged 7-inch unit. Designed for compatible Sony Cinema Line cameras, it allows operators to monitor footage and adjust focus, zoom, exposure, and other essential shooting settings without directly accessing the camera body.

Its 7-inch Full HD touchscreen delivers a resolution of 1920 × 1080 and brightness of up to 2000 cd/m² for clear viewing in bright outdoor conditions. Sony professional monitor-grade calibration technology provides accurate color reproduction, with each unit individually calibrated at the factory and designed to compensate continuously for color-temperature drift during operation.

The BIG6 home screen provides direct access to frame rate, ISO, shutter speed or angle, ND filter or aperture, Look, and white balance. Physical ITEM buttons, four assignable buttons, a multifunction dial, REC button, and detachable control knob provide intuitive operation. The included control knob enables precise focus pulling with compatible Cinema Line cameras and autofocus lenses.

Professional monitoring tools include waveform, vectorscope, false color, zebras, focus peaking, aspect markers, anamorphic de-squeeze, and up to 6x image magnification. The monitor includes six built-in viewing presets and supports importing up to 16 custom 17- or 33-point .cube LUT files using an SD card.

HDMI and 12G-SDI inputs and outputs support professional monitoring and signal cross-conversion, while Ethernet and USB-C provide stable wired camera control. Wireless workflows can be created using a compatible third-party video transmitter. Flexible power options include Sony BP-U batteries, USB-C Power Delivery, and a locking 2-pin DC input, with hot-swap support for uninterrupted operation.
