The Sonifex CM-CU21 Commentator Unit provides two fully featured commentator positions and one guest position, ideal for live broadcast, studio, or outside broadcast environments. Each position has an individual output, with two mix outputs combining all active commentary channels for flexible routing and monitoring.

The unit includes adjustable limiters on the mix outputs and a bright 21-segment LED PPM meter for accurate main output monitoring. Talkback outputs with built-in limiting allow communication between commentators and production staff. Wide gain range inputs with switchable phantom power support a variety of microphones, while transformer-balanced return audio inputs feed the headphone monitoring, adjustable for left, right, or both ears.

Additional features include a built-in line-up tone generator for cable and channel checks, On-Air lock switch to prevent accidental deactivation, and configurable talkback and headphone routing options. The CM-CU21 accepts universal AC power or 12–24V DC for versatile deployment in studio or field setups.
