The ARRI Extension 300 Hz for EB 2.5/4 is an upgrade kit designed to add 300 Hz high-speed operation to the ARRI EB 2.5/4 High Speed Electronic Ballast (L2.76655KH). This extension enables the ballast to operate at an additional high-speed frequency, providing cinematographers with greater flexibility when shooting high frame rate footage while maintaining flicker-free illumination.

Specifically developed for professional film, television, commercial, and broadcast productions, the upgrade expands the capabilities of compatible EB 2.5/4 ballasts without requiring complete ballast replacement. The added 300 Hz operating mode is ideal for productions that require stable light output during slow-motion and high-speed cinematography.

Designed by ARRI for seamless compatibility, the extension integrates directly with the EB 2.5/4 High Speed ballast, preserving its existing DMX control, Active Line Filter (ALF), Compensation of Cable Losses (CCL), and AutoScan functionality while adding another selectable high-speed frequency option. This allows lighting crews to adapt quickly to a wider range of camera frame rates and shooting conditions.
