The Sonifex CM-TB8T Talkback Control Unit combines the CM-TB8 8-channel talkback system with an integrated dual PSTN telephone hybrid, creating a complete communication solution for broadcast studios, outside broadcast units, and live production environments. Housed in a compact 1U rackmount chassis, it enables reliable talkback communication alongside direct telephone call handling.

The unit supports up to eight talkback channels, each configurable for either 4-wire or interruptible foldback (IFB) operation. Two independent analogue PSTN telephone lines are provided via the built-in dual hybrid, allowing operators to make and receive calls using external handsets or front-panel controls. Telephone parameters and system configuration can be managed through an embedded Ethernet web interface, while comprehensive monitoring and remote I/O ensure seamless integration into professional broadcast workflows.
