The Blackmagic Design Streaming Encoder 4K is a professional hardware encoder designed for high-quality live streaming directly from SDI video sources. It allows broadcasters, production teams, and content creators to stream live video in H.264 or H.265 to popular platforms and streaming services without the need for a dedicated computer.

Featuring a 12G-SDI input with loop output, the encoder supports resolutions up to DCI 4K at 60 fps, making it suitable for modern broadcast and live production environments. It can encode and stream directly using RTMP or SRT protocols, allowing reliable delivery to platforms such as YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitch, Vimeo, and other streaming services or custom servers.

The built-in Ethernet connection enables direct streaming through standard networks, while the USB-C port allows tethering to high-speed 4G or 5G mobile phones for internet connectivity in remote locations. This makes the encoder a flexible solution for live events, houses of worship, corporate productions, and broadcast studios.
