The Blackmagic Design Cloud Backup 8 is a professional rackmount media backup solution that lets you back up large video and project files to economical standard hard disks over a high-speed 10G Ethernet network. With eight independent hot-swappable 3.5″ SATA drive bays, you can create massive storage capacity and swap disks as they fill without downtime. An HDMI monitor output provides a live visual dashboard showing disk usage, sync status, network activity, and system information at a glance.

Cloud Backup 8 integrates with Blackmagic Cloud, enabling continuous syncing of media files—including collaborative DaVinci Resolve projects—across local and remote sites. Built-in 4 × 10G Ethernet ports deliver ultra-fast file access for LAN users, while a USB-C port supports Ethernet over USB for direct connection and configuration. Designed for studios and production racks, its elegant yet rugged design fits seamlessly alongside other professional equipment.

This solution gives production teams an affordable way to archive finished projects, store large media files, or offload older footage from primary working storage without subscription fees. Each drive slot operates independently, letting you expand or replace storage as needed while keeping files accessible over the network.
