The ARRI EB MAX 12/18 Light, ALF DMX AutoScan is a high-performance electronic ballast engineered to power 12,000 W and 18,000 W HMI discharge lamps with outstanding stability, efficiency, and flicker-free operation. Designed for professional film, television, broadcast, commercial, and live event productions, it delivers reliable power management for ARRI's most powerful daylight fixtures while supporting demanding high-speed cinematography applications.

Equipped with ARRI's Active Line Filter (ALF), the ballast achieves a high power factor and improved energy efficiency while reducing stress on electrical power sources. Automatic lamp wattage detection simplifies setup by identifying whether a 12 kW or 18 kW lamp is connected, allowing crews to work more efficiently on set.

The EB MAX 12/18 supports multiple operating frequencies, including 50 Hz and 60 Hz Low Noise mode, 75 Hz Standard mode, and high-speed operation at 300 Hz and 1,000 Hz. Its AutoScan technology continuously scans and automatically adjusts lamp frequency to achieve flicker-free performance at virtually any frame rate. AutoMan and Manual modes provide additional flexibility for specialized shooting requirements.

Designed for seamless integration into modern lighting systems, the ballast features DMX512 remote control for dimming, mode selection, and frequency adjustment. Compatible with ARRI ARRIMAX 18/12, ARRI Daylight 18/12, ARRISUN 120, and ARRI Compact 12000 fixtures, the EB MAX 12/18 is an ideal solution for productions requiring maximum light output, advanced electronic control, and dependable performance in challenging environments.
