The ARRI D40 Manual, Black, International (VEAM) is a high-performance 4,000W daylight Fresnel fixture designed for demanding film, television, broadcast, and large-scale studio productions. As part of ARRI's acclaimed True Blue D-Series, it combines exceptional light output with a compact, lightweight design, delivering the reliability and optical precision professionals expect from ARRI lighting systems.

Constructed with corrosion-resistant aluminum extrusions and lightweight die-cast components, the D40 offers outstanding durability while remaining practical for location work. Its innovative Cross-Cooling System efficiently manages heat around the Fresnel lens and lamp housing, reducing operating temperatures and helping extend the service life of key components during extended production schedules.

The fixture produces a powerful daylight-balanced beam with a continuously adjustable focus range from a narrow 6.5° spot to a wide 61° flood, making it suitable for everything from long-throw key lighting to broad area illumination. When paired with compatible ARRI electronic ballasts, the D40 delivers flicker-free performance and smooth dimming from 50% to 100%, making it ideal for high-speed cinematography and broadcast applications.

Designed for professional workflows, the D40 includes adjustable accessory brackets, a secure barndoor safety catch, a lightweight sliding stirrup for improved balance, a reliable disc brake tilt lock, stainless steel lens protection, and an IP23-rated housing for dependable operation in challenging production environments. The International (VEAM) connector configuration ensures compatibility with professional lighting systems used worldwide.
