The Anton/Bauer QR HOTSWAP-AR Snap-On Hot Swap for ARRI ALEXA Camera is a professional power management accessory designed to enable uninterrupted operation by allowing two Gold Mount batteries to be used simultaneously on ARRI ALEXA camera systems. Engineered specifically for high-end cinema production, it eliminates downtime during battery changes by enabling seamless hot swapping between two connected batteries.

The unit mounts directly onto the camera’s Gold Mount battery interface and supports two Anton/Bauer DIONIC HC or HCX batteries, allowing continuous power delivery even while one battery is being replaced. This makes it an essential tool for long-form shooting environments where powering down the camera is not an option.

In addition to extended runtime capability, the QR HOTSWAP-AR provides intelligent communication between both batteries and the camera system, enabling combined runtime information to be displayed directly in the ARRI ALEXA viewfinder. This ensures accurate power monitoring and improved on-set efficiency for camera operators and DIT teams.

Built for professional use, the hot swap plate incorporates protective circuitry including thermal protection and a fused output rated for up to 10A load (camera plus accessory output). It also includes a P-Tap output for powering additional accessories, making it a versatile addition to any ARRI ALEXA rig.

With its rugged construction, dual-battery architecture, and seamless integration with ARRI workflows, the QR HOTSWAP-AR is designed to deliver continuous, reliable power in demanding cinematic and broadcast production environments.
