Sony Alpha 1 II Camera Overview

The Sony introduces the second generation of the flagship α1 camera, with a 50.1 MP (approx., effective) Exmor RS™ stacked CMOS sensor and powerful BIONZ XR™ image processing engine, improved image quality at mid to high ISO. It also ensures image stabilization with up to 8.5-step central and 7.0-step peripheral compensation. Moreover, selectable RAW options including lossless RAW for efficient workflow give more control to the photographer to produce his/her masterpiece.

Sony's Fast Hybrid AF system combines the speed and tracking performance needed to quickly lock onto and tenaciously track subjects that move unpredictably. The α1 II’s outstanding speed performance and added features help users to achieve a higher capture success rate.

• 759 *1 phase-detection point covers approx. 92% of the image area. 759 points are available in the APS-C mode, too.
• Low light AF down to -4.0 EV (AF-S, ISO 100, F2.0 lens)
• XL and XS focus area spot sizes plus custom focus area for flexible focus area settings
• Selectable AF tracking response ([Stable], [Standard] [Responsive]) to balance between focus stability and response, e.g. sudden movement when a bird takes flight.
