UBMS partners with Soliton

UBMS partners with Soliton to bring its secure video encoding and streaming devices to the Middle East and Africa.

UBMS is pleased to announce its partnership with Soliton, manufacturer of secure and efficient video encoding and cellular bonded streaming solutions for Mobile Broadcast and Surveillance applications.

Soliton is a leading supplier and developer of compact, lightweight mobile video streaming technology. HEVC video encoders are able to send an encrypted video stream to a hardware decoder or the cloud.

Smart-telecaster Zao

The Smart-telecaster Zao is a H.265/HEVC video encoder for all kinds of live broadcast applications from live sports to news and events. Broadcast quality full HD video can be streamed reliably over multiple 3G / 4G, Wifi, or satellite as low as 300KB/sec back to an MCR / Broadcast Center directly from the camera.

Powered by external batteries, the Smart-telecaster Zao can run for about four hours on a single 100Wh V-mount battery, or 8 hours on two V-mount batteries. Up to 7 lines can be utilised including 6 usb ports and ethernet.

Smart-telecaster Zao S

The Smart-telecaster Zao S is the world’s smallest mobile H.265 HEVC hardware encoder sharing many of the features of the Smart-telecaster Zao. Weighing only 330g the Zao S features an internal battery, and can use up to three data lines simultaneously to ensure HD broadcast quality can be maintained even when the signal strength becomes low.

Surveillance and Security

The Soliton Zao range of products enables body cams, drone cameras and other external mobile cameras to transmit a secure encrypted video stream back to a command and control center. It is the ideal solution for integration within a command room’s eco-system including thermal imagery, AI layers, geo-mapping and facial recognition. The stream is highly reliable and can operate in the most challenging of conditions or congested networks.

UBMS looks forward to supplying and integrating Soliton technology and solutions in the region to meet the needs of broadcasters, production companies and security applications.
